    High-Altitude Lagoons

Each lagoon has its own identity—a distinct chemistry and a unique sense of stillness.
Vicuñas can often be seen moving in small groups, Andean foxes crossing the pampas, and high-altitude birds riding the cold winds.

    .

    Red Lagoon

The red color of its waters—caused by algae and mineral sediments—contrasts with the white borax islands and the constant movement of flamingos. Here, the landscape is not static; it feels alive.
Three species of flamingos—Andean, Chilean, and James’s—find food in waters that would be impossible for other species.

    Green Lagoon

At the foot of the Licancabur Volcano, its color shifts with the wind. Its tones are not constant—they respond to light and suspended minerals. It is a living lagoon.

    White Lagoon

The White Lagoon seems to be its opposite—clear, almost milky, and serene. It shares the landscape with the Green Lagoon, but its composition creates a softer, quieter atmosphere.
Vicuñas can often be seen moving in small groups, Andean foxes crossing the pampas, and high-altitude birds riding the cold winds.
